About Ms. Coughlen:

 

Prior to working in the Austin ISD, Ms. Coughlen worked in the Houston area (Deer Park ISD), at Westlake High in Austin, and the Stony Point Ninth Grade Center in Round Rock.  Ms. Coughlen is excited to be at Akins and its academy system after working at Travis High for 2 years.  Ms. Coughlen enjoys decorating, yoga, gardening, and traveling to places such as Lake Tahoe, New York City, Boston, Michigan, and San Francisco.  Two of her most memorable travel experiences occurred in Alaska: seeing humpback whales dive and glacier calving.  Ms. Coughlen looks forward to a great first year at Akins!
